Happy Tuesday folks! Today, we come to you to talk about fitness for golf.
Fit for CrossFit or fit for marathon running looks a lot different than being fit for Golf. Here at THP, our metric for Golf fitness can be summed up as two main objectives...
Ability to recover. Are you the same player on day three of your tournament as you were on day one?
Ability to recreate the same shot under fatigue. Can you consistently hit the ball the same amount of distance, whether on your first hole or 18th.
Fitness is a huge part of the two metrics above. We want you to be aerobically fit for recovery and aerobically fit for repeatable power bouts. We train that as intervals and long steady state aerobic.
